The VARNA Process
The Art of Making
Fine jewellery is not made — it is coaxed into existence through patience, skill, and an unwavering commitment to beauty.
Our Process
From Idea to Heirloom
01
Design & Consultation
Every VARNA piece begins with a conversation. Our designers work with each client to understand their vision, lifestyle, and the story the piece should carry. Initial sketches evolve through careful dialogue into a final design.

02
Material Sourcing
We select only conflict-free diamonds graded by the GIA, and ethically sourced coloured gemstones from trusted partners in Sri Lanka, Colombia, and East Africa. Our gold is recycled or responsibly mined.

03
Handcrafting
Master goldsmiths in our New Delhi studio shape each piece using traditional techniques refined over centuries — lost-wax casting, hand-engraving, pavé setting, and granulation. No piece is mass-produced.

04
Quality & Certification
Each finished piece undergoes a rigorous quality review by Eleanor Ashford herself. Diamonds and significant gemstones receive independent GIA or IGI certification. Gold is assayed and hallmarked.

05
Final Presentation
Every VARNA piece arrives in our signature ivory and gold packaging — a hand-tied ribbon, a certificate of authenticity, and a care card. For in-studio collections, delivery is personally presented.
